Who we are
Imaji is operated by Iderion s. r. o., Baracerská ulica 19/11, 076 02 Kašov, Slovakia ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Imaji iPhone app and this website. Questions, requests and complaints go to support@imaji.download.
What we collect
In the app
- A device identifier. The app creates a random identifier on first launch and keeps it in the iOS Keychain. It ties your device to your balance and your creations. There is no account, no email address and no name — we do not know who you are.
- The photos you upload — held only while your images are being made, then deleted — and the images the app generates, which we keep so you can find your creations again.
- Purchase records. When you subscribe, Apple gives us a signed transaction: a transaction identifier, the product, and whether it is a sandbox or production purchase. We never see your payment details — Apple handles the payment and tells us only that it happened.
- Ordinary server logs — IP address, timestamp, the endpoint called — kept by our infrastructure provider as part of running the service.
On this website
- Essential cookies for the site to work, including your cookie choice and language.
- Analytics, but only if you accept them in the cookie banner. Decline and none are loaded.
- Your email address, if you give it to us for the waiting list. It is used to tell you the app has launched, and for nothing else.
How your photos are handled
Your photos are uploaded over an encrypted connection and stored in a private bucket. They are never public: every link the app uses is signed and expires shortly after it is issued.
To create your images, the photo and a text instruction are sent to OpenAI, which acts as our processor. Your photos are not used to train models — neither ours nor OpenAI's.
We do not keep the photos you upload. They exist only for as long as it takes to make your images: the moment a generation finishes — or fails — the originals are deleted from our storage. A photo that is uploaded and never used is swept within the hour.
What we do keep are the images Imaji created for you, so the app can show your creations. Ask us and we will delete those too.
Why we are allowed to do this
Processing your photos is necessary to provide the service you asked for (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract). Optional analytics rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time. Keeping purchase records is a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
Who else sees it
- Cloudflare — hosting, storage and the database behind the app and this site.
- OpenAI — image generation, as described above.
- Apple — subscriptions and payment, under Apple's own privacy policy.
- Amplitude — website analytics, only with your consent.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers. Some of these providers operate outside the EU; transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or ask for it in a portable form. Email support@imaji.download and we will respond within 30 days.
Because the app is anonymous, tell us the approximate date of a creation or a purchase so we can find the right records. Deleting the app removes the identifier from your device; it does not delete what is stored on our side, so send us a request as well if that is what you want.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Slovak Data Protection Authority (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov SR).
Children
Imaji is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has uploaded photos to Imaji, contact us and we will delete them.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Photos live in a private bucket reachable only through short-lived signed links. API keys and signing secrets are held server side and are never shipped to the app. No system is perfect, but nothing here is careless.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and the new version is published here before it takes effect.
